What Safety Partners Need to Know
Thank you for your cooperation in the efforts to keep the UCR environment safe and healthy! We want students, staff and visitors to enjoy their experience here. As a Safety Partner, you can help make this happen. EHS has created this page with resources that can help the UCR community be in a safe and healthy environment.
Your Responsibilities
UCR Safety Partners have the following responsibilities:
- Review UCR’s emergency procedures
- Assist in the implementation of program responsibilities within their department or location
- Help the department focus on General Safety, Laboratory Safety (as applicable), and Emergency Preparedness
- Report hazardous conditions and releases to the environment
- Investigate and report all accidents/injuries and request medical treatment if required
We recommend you and your employees* take the General Safety Orientation for an overview of campus safety policies, programs and resources. If you work in a lab, you and your employees* need to take the Laboratory Safety Orientation.
Please contact us with suggestions to make this page more useful for you.
* All faculty, staff, students, volunteers, and guests performing work on or for the UCR campus.
